Having developed some rather unique capabilities in slitting and edge conditioning narrow widths, the easiest way to demonstrate is by example.

025mm x .0635mm (.001 x .025 )
This combination of width and thickness can be supplied by Gibbs for applications including flat springs

0.0762mm x 1.27mm (.003 x .050)
This combination of width and thickness can be supplied by Gibbs for similar applications with a #1 round or #5 deburred edge. It could also be provided on a 10kg (20lb.) traverse spool with no welds.

We offer similar combinations in heavier thicknesses as well (i.e., 0.508mm x 2.54mm - .020 x .100). In this size we can supply up to 20 kg (40 lb.) spool with no welds.

Many of these sizes are supplied as flat wire. We can provide the same product often at considerable cost savings over flat wire as we process multiple cuts at very high speeds giving us a productivity advantage. Supplied as a rolled strip product; the physical properties, camber and width tolerance (i.e., ±.003) are very consistent throughout the coil.
