301 Stainless Steel Strip for Spring Manufacturers

301 Stainless Steel Strip for Springs

301 stainless steel strip ‘high yield’ is used in the manufacture of superior springs.  Commonly used for constant force springs for window counterbalance springs, point of purchase displays, medical devices, and filter snap bands, the manufacturer desires an end product with a long performance life.

Because every detail about the raw material matters in the manufacturing processes of the spring maker, Gibbs® has developed the best 301 sources and suppliers.  We offer gauges down to .002”, slit widths narrower than .250”, consistently tight tolerances and trouble-free oscillate wound coils. Gibbs also offers a 301 high yield with added silicon to provide added ductility at high tensile ranges.

Perhaps the most exciting of all of the Gibbs® advantages is our superior round edge. When incremental performance increases matter to the performance of your spring, the Gibbs® round edge can help to equalize the stresses across the width of the strip which may help to improve the life cycle of your spring.
