17-7PH Stainless Steel Strip and Precision Slit Coil - (6)

Type 17-7 PH, “Condition C” has the corrosion resistance of Type 302 plus superior strength and heat resistance. After forming, it can be heat treated at 900° F for one hour to achieve maximum “CH” tensiles. Gibbs Interwire stocks 17 chrome-7 nickel stainless steel in the “C” cold rolled condition in gauges from .008″ to .025″.  Learn More

201 Stainless Steel Strip Coil and Slit Coil - (10)

Originally developed as a result of resource allocation during World War II, Austenitic Stainless Steel Type 201( ASTM-A-666/UNS S20100), contains a lower Nickel content (4.5% vs 8.1%) and higher Manganese content (7.1% vs 1%) than Types 301 and 304. T201 addresses the continued volatility of Nickel prices while offering comparable corrosion resistance and formability to T301 and T304 and has become a viable lower cost alternative to these austenitic grades.  Learn More

301 High Yield Stainless Steel Strip 270 KSI Min Tensile - (51)

301 High Yield or Extra Full Hard, ASTMA-666, issued for special applications requiring extra high strength and hardness. This extra high strength material has a minimum tensile strength of 270,000 PSI. Gibbs Interwire provides 301 High Yield Strip in gauges from 0.002″ to 0.032″ precision slit to widths from 0.024″. Type 301 High Yield is sold to AMS5519 – Chemical properties only.  Learn More

301 Stainless Steel Strip Coil - (57)

301 stainless strip, ASTMA-666, UNS 30100, is slightly lower in chromium and nickel content than Type 302. The lower nickel content causes Type 301 to work harden more rapidly and retain greater ductility than the same temper of Type 302. Gibbs Interwire stocks 301 Stainless Strip in gauges from 0.0022" to 0.050" precision slit to widths from 0.022 to 12". Type 301 is available in a variety of tempers. Typical applications and end uses of 301 stainless: springs, stampings, gaskets, electronics, cutting tools, shims, fasteners, zippers, clamps, clips.  Learn More

302 Stainless Steel Strip Coil & Slit Coil - (38)

302 Stainless Steel Strip, ASTMA-666, a general purpose stainless alloy, is 18% chromium and 8% nickel. It possesses excellent resistance to heat and corrosion. Type 302 cannot be hardened by heat treatment and is slightly magnetic after cold working. It welds easily. Gibbs Interwire stocks Type 302 Stainless in gauges from .003 to .030 precision slit to widths from .022″ to 12″.  Learn More

304 Stainless Steel Strip and Slit Coil - (26)

304 stainless steel strip and slit to width coil, ASTMA-666, is similar to Type 302, but has a maximum carbon content of 0.08%. This material has an excellent combination of corrosion resistance and formability. Gibbs Interwire stocks Type 304 annealed stainless in gauges from 0.0019″ to 0.062″ and T304 tempered in gauges from .0019″-.025″.  Learn More

305 Eyelet Quality DDQ Stainless Steel Strip - (2)

305 is used for applications requiring a low rate of work hardening and typically undergoes severe cold forming during fabrication. The higher nickel content slows the work hardening and makes it ideal for eyelet and other deep draw applications. Gibbs Interwire can supply Type 305 Eyelet Quality in gauges from 0.005″ – 0.025″ in the deep draw annealed condition.  Learn More

316/316L Stainless Steel Strip Coil and Slit Coil to ASTM A-666 - (7)

316, ASTMA-666 stainless steel strip are molydbenum bearing stainless steels possessing a greatly increased resistance to chemical attack as compared to that of the basic chromium-nickel analysis. In addition, Type 316 also offers higher creep, stress-to-rupture, and tensile strengths at elevated temperatures than any other stainless steel. Gibbs Interwire stocks this material in gauges from 0.005″ – 0.025″ in the annealed and 1/4 hard conditions  Learn More

316Ti™ Stainless Steel Strip and Slit Coil

316Ti™, is a titanium stabilized version of Type 316 stainless. It is produced to ASTM A240 and DIN/EN No. 1.4571. Titanium is added to minimize corrosion over extended exposure to elevated temperatures ranging from 900 to 1500 degrees °F (425 to 815 °C). The alloy resists corrosion at higher temperatures because the addition of titanium stabilizes the structure against chromium precipitation. This alloy was developed to improve the performance of 316 and 316L at elevated temperatures. It is commonly used is flexible ducts and chimney liners  Learn More

420 Stainless Steel Strip & Slit Coil

420 is a martensitic stainless steel with 12% Chromium. 420 is magnetic in all conditions and can be heat treated for hardening. This material is commonly used for cutlery, medical instrumentation, scissors, and blades. It has good corrosion resistance and is often ground and polished.  Learn More
